Awards arenβt everything
Awards arenβt everything, we all know that.
But in a noisy industry, they do help shine a light on the work that deserves a second look.
They give brave ideas a bit of space to breathe.
They open doors. Start chats. Sometimes, even shift careers.
Most of us donβt create for awards, but letβs be honest, they can remind us why the work matters.
They bring teams together, build energy, and push us to raise the bar (when judged fairly, at least).
The real win? Making something that solves a problem, moves people, or makes someone say: βI wish Iβd done that.β
But awards? Theyβre still a decent checkpoint. A motivator. A little fuel when you need it.
What do they mean to you?
Validation? Pressure? Encouragement? A bit of all three?
